Does it cost anything to use your services?

Absolutely NOT. House to Home Referral Service is a FREE service to consumers. We generate revenue by charging the contractors a commission. Simply put, we are a performance based advertising company for contractors.

Does it cost me more to hire a contractor through House to Home Referral Service?

Absolutely NOT. Any referral we give you is free and our contractors do not charge additional fees to our customers.

How Does House to Home Referral Service differ from other similar services?

We differ in the fact that we only provided referrals in Orange County as opposed to nationwide. By being so geographically targeted, it allows us to have better relationships with our contractors and provide better referrals to our customers.

How do you choose the contractors you refer to me?

We refer you to contractors who specialize in your type of project, readily service your geographical area, are available to complete your project within the designated time frame, and who can do the job within your budget.

How do we prescreen our contractors?

• We make sure all of our contractors have a valid contractor’s license with the California Contractors State License Board

• We confirm their insurance and bonding information.

• We check to see if there are many complaints against them registered with the Better Business Bureau

By doing this, we are providing you with a solid level of protection against scam artists and disreputable contractors.

In addition, we ask our customers to fill out a Feedback Form after a job is completed to let us know their level of satisfaction with the contractor’s service. If a contractor gets ONE legitimate “Completely Unsatisfied” review and fails to rectify the issue, they are eliminated from our network for good.

What kind of information do you provide me on the referred contractors?

We provide you with all of the contractor's contact information along with their California Contractor's License number. Some of our contractors elect to have a company profile which includes complete company information, a customized message, any special offers, and up to 4 photos of their work. If a contractor does have a company profile with us, it will be included with the contractors information we send you.

Do all contractors require a contractor’s license?

No. Typically, contractors who specialize in smaller jobs like pool maintenance or house cleaning, or handymen are not required to have a contractor’s license. Check with the California Contractors State License Board for more information.

What happens if I don’t like any of the contractors you refer to me?

Either you can go find your own contractor at that point, or simply let us know and we will refer more for you. By no means are you required to use any of our contractors.

What happens if I want to cancel a contract mid-project?

That issue must be handled between you and the contractor. To protect yourself, we suggest you read through all of the consumer tips listed on the California Contractors State License Board.
